Hotel room revenue is the monthly room revenue of the City of Vancouver, worked out by BC Stats from accommodation tax (MRDT) returns. It is not seasonally adjusted, so the busy and slow seasons show as they are. Restaurant and bar sales (all of BC) and airport passengers come from the BC Stats Monthly Tourism Indicators. They are seasonally adjusted, so the seasonal swings are taken out and only the trend is left. Restaurant sales are for all of BC; there is no separate figure for Vancouver.
